outage summary on october 29th, 2025, microsoft azure experienced a global outage affecting their azure front door (afd) service as a result, shi one became temporarily unavailable shi applied a configuration change to ensure users were presented our standard static outage page a few hours later microsoft restored service for the azure front door service restoring service to shi one but froze configuration changes to the azure front door service on november 2nd, 2025, microsoft applied previously queued and frozen configuration changes resulting all shi one users to unexpectedly see a maintenance page attempts to revert the change were blocked due to the ongoing configuration freeze on november 4th, 2025, microsoft lifted the configuration freeze for specific azure subscriptions and shi engineers restored service to all shi one users service was stored at 6 59 am ct for more information, please see microsoft’s official post incident review azure status history | microsoft azure we are actively reviewing solutions to mitigate future impact and apologize for any inconvenience
