overview shi labs are a way for customers to learn about and evaluate various technologies and solutions they are considering the customer is connected with a subject matter expert from shi, who will take them through a demonstration and educate them about the solution in question these are a fantastic way for customers to ensure that they don't end up purchasing the wrong tool for the job, and best of all they're totally free for the customer! there's no commitment for the customer, and shi doesn't involve the vendor until the customer is ready to move forward shi one has been supporting our labs offerings for some time now any shi one user is able to navigate to labs and see the full catalog of what's available in 2024, shi one partnered closely with the labs team to bring in some exciting new functionality for customers labs on demand labs on demand! labs on demand is a new way for customers to engage with the labs services that shi offers them now, in addition to working with a sme to understand a given solution, customers can also be granted access to a virtual sandbox environment where they can test it out in a safe and controlled way these virtual environments are created by the labs team on demand, so customers can test to their heart's content! customers will see certain labs flagged as "on demand" in the catalog within shi one if a customer would like to have a virtual environment created for them, all they need to do is click the "request lab" button once that lab has been created for them, it will show up under the new "my labs" tab in shi one!
